Abate’s resinous compounds are water emulsions that are non-combustible and they require no red label, thus minimizing production area hazards.  The fire retardant composites are capable of being molded to any shape, color, or surface configuration using most conventional molding systems.  Our composites are light weight and corrosion resistant; they further possess excellent physical, and weathering properties.

Abate’s products exceed the most stringent tests for Multi-Storied Buildings. They can be used to the full  extent on exteriors at any height, and interiors.  The composites meet all requirements of  the International Building Codes, those of the European countries, and all known global tests and codes for non-structural application.

All fire retardant resins, compounds and finished composites offered by Abate to its licensed laminators are tested in all area of production. The original  manufacture of test specimens, and testing for code approval was monitored by an approved  quality assurance group.  All future production, including raw material suppliers, the compounding of the matrix, and production by the laminators of the finished FRP Composites will be under this same scrutiny.

These controls assure uniformity and continued quality performance.   All items  manufactured using Abate’s compounds for composites are identified with specific numbers and tests that denote code approval for each intended application.   When shipped to the job site with these recognized markings, they are easily identified and approved as all are easy recognized as being pre-approved by the on-site code official.

Abate’s staff is composed of trained laminators, and technicians who have many years of experience, an intimate knowledge of the products, plus application procedures and the codes that must be observed.  The Staff is regarded as “Hands-on Composite Technicians” with the added dividend of knowledge of the applicable Fire Codes.

In addition to Abate’s personnel, fire engineers and consultants, who possess  complete knowledge of the fire codes and how they relate to the intended application.  These professionals are well known and highly regarded by their  fellow members of the “fire safe community”.  They will inter-act and  assist architects and design engineers, and the appropriate Code Officials where and when needed.

When this type of  prior detailing is observed, on-site application methods and procedures insure that all specifications are thorough and complete.  Final approvals move forward quickly with no later complications or costs.
